| When the phone can be used safely and legally (for example, when the cell phone user is a passenger), the application can be manually turned off by the user. This also allows use in emergencies. |

| * "Turn off", when used with Android and some Windows phones, means the network connections are turned off. Voice, email, text, and internet are disabled. |
**Phone owners can set the turn off speed. Normal walking speed is 4-5 mph, normal jogging speed is 6-7 mph. The application will not operate for very short driving times, in extremely unusual driving patterns, or if GPS is unavailable. |
